James and Kimberly’s wedding spoke of timeless elegance and quiet sophistication. They approached their wedding planning with the drive and focus of a high-level working committee. Kimberly’s wedding notebook alone was a professionally binded collection of her wedding notes and receipts organised according to coloured handwritten tabs, including a large one at the end that said HONEYMOON.

Kimberly gets ready in their bedroom with a magnificent view.

That’s a mirrored wardrobe.

James and Kimberly practice their vow delivery in the comfort of their bedroom while Lizhuang the videographer grins away.

And they continued to practice.

Kimberly’s parents are a really sweet pair, and very much in love.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes welcomed me in their home.

Now for the real solemnisation. James had an immense floral arch brought into their living room for the day.

Kimberly hugs her parents with much joy after the tea ceremony.

And her favorite dog gives her a congratulatory kiss as well!

Kim supervises her best friends just before leaving for lunch at their favorite bistro.

Two of my favorite photos of the day.

The wedding party tucks into an Australian-inspired menu of seafood cooked in different ways.

In the evening things got really, really packed outside their Four Seasons ballroom. One of James’ best friends stands heads-and-shoulders above everyone else.

Kimberly’s aunt and uncle joined A Little Dream and gave an impromptu performance to the unsuspecting couple.

The food & beverage director personally stood outside for the entire evening as the custodian of the 23-year-old vintage Bordeaux wines. No one else was allowed near them. He gently removed their corks, took their temperatures with a digital thermometer, decanted them as shown below and then allowed them to “breathe” before sending them in to be served. Very impressive.

The wedding party unwinds outside as the dinner draws to a close.

And here’s the final tally for the Bordeaux wines. The standard wine bottle size is on the left. For wine lovers the labels in question are Château Canon and Château Léoville-Las Cases. Wikipedia can be so wonderful. These wines were bottled in the mid 1980s when Whitney Houston and Bon Jovi ruled the music charts.

Congratulations James and Kimberly!

The pix of the manager decanting is really interestingly well-captured. Look at the expressions on the waitresses! And their heads tilted out one after another… so sute
Ha ha, I certainly don’t pick my brides. They come to me. I guess brides are attracted to similar brides they can identify themselves with. I know my clients imagine how their wedding portfolio will look after viewing my recent works. Also I know all my couples have one thing in common — they don’t want mediocre wedding photography.
Your brides are really pretty and I’m getting a lot of ideas for my wedding from looking at your beautiful photos. do you pick your brides or do they come to you?
the bride looks like some taiwanese star. and her ring is huge too!
