Update: Voices @ Central Singapore magazine, Issue 50 of Jan/Feb 2010, featured my photo from Isaiah & Matilda’s wedding to mark a new year and a new decade. The link to the PDF article is here.
Isaiah & Matilda booked me almost a year ago for their wedding, and with a good reason too. The weekend of 28-29 November turned out to be one of the most hotly contested dates in 2009 and I had to politely decline many couples who enquired during the year.
Their wedding, with a colourful carnival theme, reached out to touch the young and old with their warmth and friendliness. No one was left out of the festivities and humour!
Wedding date: Saturday, 28 November 2009 and Sunday, 29 November 2009
Church: Bartley Christian Church
Solemniser: Pastor Mark Lee
Dinner: Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore (watch out for this in part II)
Wedding Gown: Silhouette, The Atelier
It’s 5:45am and a hungry bride’s gotta eat.

The “gifts” awaiting the unsuspecting groom and his brothers.

Let the games begin.

Free leg waxing.

A cocktail of delectable delights to reward wrong answers: uncooked bee hoon, slippery kway tiao, gummy bears, raw onions, fresh garlic, someone’s bubble tea and – a sausage McMuffin with an extra dollop of chilli sauce.

Fashionable fruits.

The guys had to bite the fruits off each other and form a cupid’s heart with the seeds. Thankfully nobody was harmed in this segment. They used their hands of course.

The packed auditorium of the spanking new church was filled with everyone that mattered to them: Matilda’s students, their church, their best friends, their family, their colleagues.

Their faith.

Look at the cheeky ring bearer on the right.

The Magnolia uncle added to the fun fair atmosphere and did brisk business that hot day.

The lovely bridesmaids had custom-made dresses in Tiffany robin’s egg blue.

Matilda takes a break from her high heels. This was totally unscripted.

Congratulations Isaiah & Matilda. It was an honour to share your wedding weekend of much warmth, laughter and joy!

thanks yushan! the photos r awesome! thanks so much!
The post’s a lovely welcome home after the honeymoon. I love the tortured look on the faces of the brothers and the glee on the bridesmaids’ faces!
Thank you for capturing the expression so well, especially since the only activity i can hear from upstairs are the laughter, screams and whines!
Looking forward to part 2 and many more pictures.
Meanwhile, Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year to you too
And… just as you said, Melbourne is lovely!
