Gary & Jolyn had the honour of being my first couple for 2010. And on 2 January no less when the rest of Singapore was still coming to grips with punching the year 10 instead of 09 on car parking coupons.
Wedding date: Saturday, 2 January 2010
Church: Grace Assembly of God
Solemniser: Rev Ricky Cheng
Dinner: Bliss Garden Restaurant
Boutique: Dawn’s Wedding
Bridesmaids’ Dresses: Arthur Yen
Hair & makeup: Ivy Wang
Many hands make light work.

Extra hot noodles awaited Gary.

The guys were supposed to chew a heart shape in the bread.

The traditional bedspread in their gorgeous new home.

A mother’s teary farewell.

The very words that lovely Jolyn waited to hear.

The only thing faster than my camera is Jolyn’s niece.

Jolyn’s niece is rather camera shy.

“This way, sir.”

One thing I’ve noticed recently with tea ceremonies is that some relatives don’t drink directly from the tea cups but lift them in a symbolic gesture instead. With all the mutating viruses and bugs out there it’s easy to understand why. This trendy aunt was none too pleased about being the last one but she did drink after making a cleaning attempt!

Filial piety. Jolyn and her brother simply dote on their sweet grandmother.

Congratulations Gary & Jolyn! Enjoy your beautiful new home.
