Some prospective couples I have met dwell on technical details and the minutiae of post-production work in wedding photography. This is understandable as you want to know exactly what you are getting for your money. However they are overwhelmed with details. Decision-making paralysis sets in. They forget that the overall objective is to have beautiful, memorable wedding photos to remember their day. In the meantime another couple swiftly steps in to book the very same wedding date. Do understand that you are competing with other couples, both local and overseas, for limited weekend dates.
Booking your wedding photographer involves trust, a gut feel and, for some, a little leap of faith. Trust your wedding photographer — who has consistently out-performed with each and every wedding portfolio — and you will get photos that you dream about while surfing their blogs.
S.H. & Rachel told me they spent 3 months looking for their wedding photographer. They visited countless websites from the comfort of their new home in Melbourne, Australia. You know what happened next. Within weeks of booking me via email we all met at Wheelock Place for a coffee and chat as S.H. and Rachel indulged in a spot of Christmas shopping along Orchard Road.

Lovely Rachel, all jubilant and radiant on her wedding day.

A big hug for mum.

And for something you don’t normally see at traditional wedding nowadays – rice throwing. In the old days it was supposed to keep the chickens from pecking the bride as she made her way out. Now it symbolises fertility.

Then it was off to Mandai for a little photoshoot.

Dad congratulates one of his five sons. Yes, FIVE.

Some encouragement from a favorite uncle.

Peek-a-boo!

One of my favorite modern ballrooms in Singapore.

Congratulations S.H. & Rachel! Now this really wraps up my January 2010 weddings.
