About me
YU-SHAN was a qualified lawyer from Melbourne, Australia. He studied law at Melbourne University in the 1990s for pure intellectual satisfaction and secretly enjoyed editing footnotes in his 10,000-word assignments.
Born in Singapore but bred entirely in Australia, he brings a unique Antipodean approach to Singapore weddings with a touch of humour where appropriate. He has fond childhood memories from the 1980s of gleaming cups of cappuccino with generous dustings of cocoa on top.
Yu-Shan is now firmly planted in Singapore with his lovely Singaporean wife who enjoys eating to cooking, two screaming kids and one Chow Chow.

ambi photography was born four years ago when, like you, I was looking for a dependable and consistent wedding photographer. We eventually found one after a long, hard search. Whilst interviewing short-listed wedding photographers I felt I could do far better and conduct myself more professionally than those who didn’t make the cut.
Fast forward to today. ambi photography is the preferred choice for overseas couples and Singaporeans returning home to hold their wedding in Singapore. My clients come afar from Australia, United Kingdom, India, Hong Kong and even Tokyo.
A responsible, trustworthy attitude and consistent high standards is what I offer with every wedding.

You’ve studied, worked or lived overseas in your lifetime. Now you’re settling down. You’ve bought countless issues of Martha Stewart Weddings and drooled at those sunlit garden weddings and gorgeous cakes.
Most importantly you know better than to gamble with cheap and questionable wedding photography.

Much to the amusement of his wife, Yu-Shan confesses to reading cookbooks during bedtime.
When not attending weddings he experiments with his pride and joy — a shiny, fully-fitted commercial kitchen in his home.
His immediate short-term goal is to convince his family that they need a taco press from Amazon.com. Otherwise he is constantly in search of excellence — pulling the perfect espresso shot at home.
