Alex and Marie had the most impressive wedding schedule ever. Their timetable alone ran into 11 pages! Nothing was left to chance. They had to run with clockwork precision because they had a full day of 3 tea ceremonies, a buffet lunch, evening ROM and then the wedding banquet. And they found time to check-in early to the Conrad somewhere.

A quick freshen up for the lovely flowers.

Grace’s sister stood-in for the exchange of oranges.

Grace’s friends flew all the way from Ningbo, China, for her wedding. Now that’s friendship!

Then it was off to sunny Marine Parade for Bryan’s home.

Three different generations meet.

What struck me was the sense of humility during the proceedings.

Their lips actually never met! They avoided a passionate kiss out of respect for Venerable Fa Qian.

I really do enjoy photographing kids at weddings. Their reactions can run into extremes.

The blue pattern is crepe paper used to wrap the wedding favours.

That’s not a price tag. It shows the weight of the gold in grams. Elders typically leave the tag on to show the quality of the jewellery they are giving.

Bryan and Grace pay their respects and thank their solemniser.

Grace’s father was a national basketball player in China. He had to bow when entering and exiting the lift.

Alex & Marie
Alex and Marie wanted a casual photo shoot at home and at East Coast Park. They met while rollerblading so East Coast Park holds very fond memories for them.

Marie and Alex met at East Coast Park while rollerblading. They won’t say who made the first move!

Unfortunately Marie had a hard fall while going too fast. Thankfully Alex was quick to tend to her grazed palm.

In hindsight this was a very dangerous thing to do. Not the kissing but looking into the sun.

Look out for Alex & Marie’s actual day this September.
Chris & Yiru
Chris and Yiru are truly, deeply and madly in love. They quickly forgot my presence when the photo shoot started at Yiru’s home.

We moved on to the playground below Yiru’s home.

Chris used to be a gymnast in school and I’m sure he can support both their weight with that single grip!

Whoops, Chris sat on the wrong part of the ride.

This is what I meant about them forgetting about my presence. I felt like a voyeur at this point!

They had a brief Titanic moment here.

Ouch!

Here are my two favorite photos: Chris and Yiru playing with their feet with childhood glee and taking a rest at sunset.

The way home.

Time for a well-deserved drink after all that activity.
